The Bishops Court (Llys Yr Esgob) is a Grade 2 listed farmhouse believed to date back to 1579. The farmhouse is listed for retaining features of sixteenth century significance including large timber beams and an arch braced ceiling.
The property is reputed to be on the site of an early Royal Palace where Edward 1 held conclave in the 13th century. Manorial Courts were held in The Bishops Court until 1894.
The Bishops Court offers beautiful accommodation all year round within a semi rural area. Parking is provided within the properties boundaries. Guests are also welcome to use the large established gardens to the rear of the farmhouse where they will find a patio area, decking and pond attracting local wildlife. The Bishops Court is a no smoking establishment.
The Bishops Court is situated opposite St Melyd Golf Course and a short walk away from the town of Prestatyn, the Offas Dyke path and the picturesque village of Meliden. The railway station is within 2 miles.
